Erevnite Asteron

We do not crave status or recognition, but we do have enough vanity to recognize one special award within our household: the Order of the Slug. This award is given annually (usually at Pennsic) to the member of Erevnite Asteron who most accurately typifies the ideal of "Loafing Like A Slug™". Well, so the official line goes...

Actually, this high award is given by the current holder of the title to whoever they darned well please, for whatever reason they darned well please, whenever they darned well please. Rather than pretend that the award is given for merit, we have embraced the true court intrigue of the Middle Ages. Bribery, boot-licking, flattery, whining, begging, conniving, wheedling, and just about anything else short of outright murder are not only permitted, but expected. Chocolate brownies, dark German beer, and camp accessories have all been used as bribe items over the years, and the amount of butt-kissing and groveling is truly impressive!

The holders of the Slug Award are known as the Slug Lord or the Slug Lady, depending upon their gender, and are entitled to be addressed as Your Sluggishness. The Slug Award was first given by Catriona nic Hugh McLaey to Iustinos Tekton called Justin. Since the award's inception, the following individuals have held the honor:

It is anyone's guess who will be the next Slug Lord or Slug Lady. Let the intrigue begin!
