Viewing Photo AlbumsNavigating our photo albums is easy if you are familiar with other online galleries, but here are a few hints to help you get the most enjoyment from our collections. Finding the AlbumsOur albums are most easily located by clicking on the menu near the upper-left corner of our home page. There is a main entry that leads to a directory of all albums on our site, and there are submenus for various topics. Photos are organized by category (events, portraits, etc.) and by year. Each photo may appear in more than one album, depending on how many categories are associated with it. Our photo albums are organized like an upside-down tree, with the main Photo Albums directory at the top representing the trunk and various subfolders within it. Within any of our albums or the directories of albums, you will see some navigation links called "breadcrumbs" that appear near the top of the main part of the page. The breadcrumbs show you where you are in the tree, and will take you back toward the trunk. Viewing ImagesInside any of our albums, click on a thumbnail to view the image at a medium size (typically about 640 pixels wide or high, but this may vary). When you are viewing the medium size, most photos can be viewed at full size by clicking again on the medium-sized image. This "original size" may not actually be the original version from the camera or scanner. To protect ourselves against image theft, and to conserve space and bandwidth on our server, we don't normally publish the true high-resolutions versions online at all. If you would like a copy of the highest-resolution version, please see our photo album legal policies for instructions on how to request higher-resolution versions.
